Meet Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly at the Atlanta Press Club

Gary Kelly, chairman of the board and CEO of Southwest Airlines, will be the featured guest at an Atlanta Press Club Newsmaker Luncheon on Thursday, July 13.

Kelly has served as CEO since 2005 and chairman since 2008. Under his leadership, Southwest has grown to become the nation’s largest airline in terms of originating domestic passengers carried and is a mainstay on Fortune magazine’s list of the most admired companies in the world, ranking eighth in 2017. In the same Fortune survey, Gary was recognized as one of the top five underrated CEOs.      

Jim Burress, co-host of Closer Look on 90.1 WABE, will lead Kelly in a discussion.

The ticket price does not include parking. Parking is available in the 191 Building parking deck with entrances on Ellis Street and Peachtree Center Avenue. Discounted parking vouchers for this deck will be available for $5 after the event. Guests must bring the ticket they receive upon entering the deck to receive a discount. The Peachtree Center MARTA station is also very convenient.
